This
year’s winter soup cook off party was held on January 19th at Swine
Creek lodge in Middlefield. We had a great
turn out of members, friends and families
- plenty of food and friendship, hanger flying and awards.
Due to
scheduling difficulties in December, the annual CSS Christmas party seems to
have morphed into this January cook off, which has turned out to be a great way
to break the winter doldrums and kick off the new flying year.
There must
have been 15 soup entries and all were delicious. However, it wouldn't be a contest without a
winner and this year that honor went to Brian King for his French Onion
Soup. It was so popular that it didn't last long.
The
evening ended with President Dave Nuss’ presentation of 2012 awards.
