Cleveland Soaring kicked off the season on Saturday, March 30th. Yes, it was a little chilly but the thermals warmed our hearts. 12 flights with one lasting more than an hour. Not too bad for March!

CSS Remembers Frank Ebersberger
It is with great regret that we announce the loss of another CSS member. Frank Ebersberger passed away on March 7 after suffering a massive heart attack in late February. Frank was active with CSS from 2009 through 2011 but had
to sit out the 2012 season due to a shoulder injury. Frank E (as he was affectionately known around here) was
about as positive a person as you’ll ever meet and knowing him enriched all of our lives. We will miss his great optimism, generosity and sense of humor. Frank was 78 years old. Soar in Peace, Frank!

CSS Remembers Dick Proch
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of longtime
Cleveland Soaring member, Dick Proch.
Dick was a certified glider instructor and a consummate teacher. He was a longtime member of Cleveland Soaring
and remained active through the end of the 2012 flying season. He will be sorely missed. Soar in Peace, Dick Proch!

CSS Welcomes First New Member of 2013
Cleveland Soaring is pleased to welcome new Full member Harvey Insler. Harvey hails all the way from from Erie PA. Fortunately, he's a power pilot with his own plane and will be able to fly to 7G8 faster than it takes most of us to drive from our home!

All classes
are held at Geauga County Airport from 9:00 to 11:00 on Saturday mornings.
Cost is $25/class
for CSS members and $30/class for nonmembers.
